This wine from our Cowslip Valley Vineyard in the Waihopai Valley is grown on a cool and sometimes frost prone site with moderately fertile silt soils overlying deep layers of free draining gravel. Good body and complex flavours on the palate are typical for Sauvignon Blanc grown on this superior site.
Extremely pungent - blackcurrant, bell pepper, smoke and gunflint. A sweet explosion of citrus fruit on the palate - grapefruit, lemon and lime - with a touch of gooseberry and passionfruit, that lingers on and on. Great volume and zesty richness.
