Bright, light golden-yellow colour with some depth and slight golden hues, paler on the rim. The nose is full and voluminous with well-packed aromas of orange and tangerine marmalade, tropical fruits, wild honey, and savoury musk notes, revealing nuances of crystallised fruits. Very sweet to taste and medium-bodied, this has a decadent and opulent palate of orange marmalade, exotic tropical fruits, savoury wild honey and notes of musk.
The fruit richness and sugar provide a near unctuous mouthfeel, with brisk, refreshing acidity providing balance and cut. The wine flows along a very fine-textured, smooth line leading to a long and sustained finish of marmalade and honey. This is a rich and opulent Noble Riesling with flavours of orange marmalade, tropical fruits, and savoury honey and musk with fresh acid balance. Match with crème caramel and crème brulee over the next 4-5 years. Hand-picked botrytis-affected bunches from Cirrus Estate, cool-fermented in tank to 11.2% alc. and 150 g/L RS, TA 6.1 g/L. 800 bottles made. (375 ml)
