Full, even ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues, a little lighter edged. This has a moderately full and well-packed nose of ripe dark-red berry fruits along with dark plums and nuances of black cherries, and a fine layering of dark herbs and earth, unfolding nuances of raspberries, liquorice and spices. Medium-full bodied, the palate has gently mouthfilling flavours of rich and juicy dark-red berry fruits along with savoury earth and dark herbs, lifted by red floral nuances and enhanced by liquorice elements.
The fruit is supported by fine, grainy tannin structure with some crisp acidity enlivening the mouthfeel. The fruit and structure is well entwined to provide body and presence which carries to a solid finish of sweet dark-red fruit and earth.
This is a rich, mouthfilling Pinot Noir with balancing structure and some fine acid vitality. Match with game meat and casseroles over the next 6+ years.
