Pinot Gris is a challenging grape to get right in the vineyard. It has a mind of its own - we attempt to shepherd the vines to produce a certain tonnage and they tend to want to do their own thing. Frustrating but can be very rewarding when we get it right.
The inviting bouquet shows mango, peach and baked pear notes with nuances of apple blossom and spice. The palate delivers impressive fruit richness and silky texture, beautifully supported by subtle sweetness and layers of fabulous flavours. It is full-flavoured and friendly, and finishes superbly long.
