Marsanne hails from the Rhone Valley in France and loved the warm and dry conditions that typified vintage 2013 in Gisborne. The fruit was harvested in pristine condition on 21 March and started ferment in tank. It was transferred to five year old oak to finish ferment and rest on lees until the end of May 2013. The wine was bottled in June 2013.
At bottling the wine was very pale with light green tints. With time we expect that it will develop some pale gold hints.
Pure and fresh, with hints of honeysuckle and melon.
Surprisingly full bodied, with great length and presence on the palate.
