Ben Morven presents an outstanding bouquet of limes, lemons, grapefruit and orange peel framed by sensuous coconut, toasted sweet almonds and chestnut with a mineral, flinty backbone of fine grained smoky cedar notes.
Rich soft silky, creamy palate with a gorgeous texture and a lively fresh long finish.
Tucked into the very base of the Wither Hills, and protected by a grassy knoll from the moderating easterly, is the Wither Hills Ben Morven Vineyard. The site was planted in 2000 and is almost 100% erosional clays and it delivers a lovely rich expressive style of Chardonnay. In September 2009 the Ben Morven vineyard was converted to organic principles.
